Jacqueline Fernandez is an Indian film actress and former model who has established herself as a promising actress in Indian Cinema. She made her acting debut in Bollywood with Sujoy Ghosh's Aladin, for which she had won an International Indian Film Academy Award for Best Female Debut. The actress was seen opposite Salman Khan in the movie 'Kick'. She was seen in a double role in Roy movie. Recently, she was in the flick Brothers opposite Akshay Kumar. Now she will be seen in upcoming film Dishoom along with Varun Dhawan and John Abraham.
Jacqueline was born on August 11, 1985, in Bahrain. She was brought up in Sri Lanka and studied at The Sacred Heart School. She has three siblings, two brothers, and a sister. Jacqueline started to host TV shows at the age of 14. She completed her graduation in Mass Communications from Australia and after returning back to Sri Lanka, became a political reporter. From the age of 8 years, she had aspired to become an actress. She continued with modeling along with her career and in 2006 she has crowned the Miss Sri Lanka Universe. Later, in 2007 she appeared for the very first time in a commercial music video of Sri Lanka and in 2009, she was seen in Bollywood fiction movie 'Aladin'.
Jacqueline owns a restaurant in Sri Lanka and plans to open one in India. She said, "I have a restaurant in Sri Lanka and I feel keen to open up something here in Mumbai and bring Sri Lankan food here in India. I feel we have so much in common but we have a different cuisine and I am sure people will enjoy here. I am passionate about spreading awareness about Sri Lankan food. I know whoever visits my restaurant they have loved the food. I will be able to do something in the future."
